Premium Black is one of the highly popular varieties of slate. And it too highlights haze and strokes of different kind.

If you use dirty mop for wiping the floor, it will leave white/muddy strokes or haze on the floor. While grouting as well, if you would not wipe excess grout, then also there will be haze on your slate floor.

  • Dampen a sponge, cotton cloth, or mop. Wring it completely. And run it over the areas where you see haze or mop strokes. This should remove the hazes that came after wiping or mopping. If it doesn’t, repeat this exercise.
  • One way to avoid this type hazing on your black stone tile floor is to use clean mop only. In addition, keep changing the water and washing the mop during the mopping routine.
  • To remove grout haze during floor installation, it is advisable to keep two-three sets of cloths and sponges. Use wet sponge to wipe the haze and dry cloth to dry the surface and check if haze is still there.
